Twenty of Konovalenko's sculptures were purchased in the 1980's by a museum trustee and made available to the museum for display. I'm so thankful that happened because this is the only public display of Konovalenko's sculptures outside of Moscow. If you are visiting the Denver Museum of Nature & Science, this one exhibit is a "must see"!

Around 1974, American wholesale diamond dealer Jack Ortman saw the sculptures on display and offered Konovalenko a house in the United States, machinery, and minerals with which to work.
